ATTENTION ALL PUERTO RICAN POLITICAL PRISONER SUPPORTERS: ALERT ABOUT CONDITIONS

1. The conditions, including the prohibition on association with people with criminal records, applies the minute they walk out the prison door.

2. They must proceed directly to the district indicated on the mandatory release certificate issued by the prison.

3. They must report to the probation officer in the district within 72 hours of release. If the office is not open, they must phone in and state the date and time they are calling, and then call again during regular business hours to arrange an appointment to report in person.

The Department of Justice has made public that they do not welcome the prisoners to the street. They would like nothing more than to return them to prison and gloat that they should never have been released in the first place, and that those who remain in prison should never be released. We'll all need time to adjust to the conditions, but let's make sure we help them comply.
